The Plisada cover for the EX 500 (1993) uses sewn pleats over 1.2 mm (0.05 in) gripper fabric: the relief is soft and the grip is even across the whole surface, without the hard ribs of a motocross look. You get texture and extra hold without shouting about it. The fabric is non-slip and waterproof, with a polyester backing that stops water before it reaches the foam, and double stitching around the perimeter.
