It uses 1.2 mm (0.05 in) gripper fabric with high-frequency embossing in the center of the seat: more traction than plain fabric, with no side rubber and no ribs. In city riding that means you are not sliding forward at every stop and not skating around after rain. The polyester base keeps water out and protects the foam, while the double perimeter stitching takes daily use.
