On the Yamaha XSR 700 (2019 to 2020) the HF adds traction without breaking the bike’s lines: 1.2 mm (0.05 in) grip fabric with high-frequency embossing across the whole surface, no ribs and no rubber panels. It works the same commuting as it does on the highway, because the grip is even and you do not shift forward under braking. The polyester base keeps water out and double perimeter stitching holds it together. Patterned on the original seat of this XSR 700 version, CNC-cut and hand-sewn.
