Cross ribs sewn from side to side: that is the Rib, classic motocross styling carried over to a quad. On the LT 500 (1987 to 1990) each rib works as a stop when you open the throttle and your body starts sliding back, so you catch yourself without thinking about it. Under the ribs sits the same 1.2 mm (0.05 in) gripper fabric, a waterproof polyester backing and double stitching around the entire perimeter. The pattern is taken from this model original seat, which is why it fits with no wrinkles. Colors come from the selector.
