Three things separate the Series on the KLR 600: the soft inner support that damps vibration, the laser-etched top panel and the printed Kawasaki logo, all over a high-frequency embossed gripper base. That is 1.2 mm (0.05 in) of waterproof material on a polyester backing water will not cross, double stitched around the perimeter.
