This HF cover replaces it with 1.2 mm (0.05 in) grip fabric, high-frequency embossed across the surface, adding bite over the smooth finish so you stay in place through city stops and starts, with no pronounced ribs and no rubber. The polyester backing keeps water out, so you can sit down after a shower without getting soaked, and the double perimeter stitching survives climbing on and off all day.
