Underneath it is the HF base, 1.2 mm (0.05 in) gripper fabric with high-frequency embossing that holds better than plain material, which matters when you are starting and stopping constantly. The waterproof polyester backing protects the foam when the bike sits in sun or rain, and double perimeter stitching holds the edge. Patterned on the original Biz 125 seat and made to order in Buenos Aires in 48 hours; you staple it on yourself.
