The rubber is sewn onto both sides where the boots rub, and it protects the cover from wear while giving you a firm surface to squeeze. The top is 1.2 mm (0.05 in) high-frequency embossed gripper fabric on a waterproof polyester base, with double perimeter stitching that handles mud and pressure washing.
